This is an Overview of all the pronouns in Hebrew.

Singular and Plural, basic rules.

This is the most common effect of plurality:

Males: the 's' becomes 'ים', for example: dog-כֵּלֵב --> dogs-כְּלָבִים. (for male dogs, we will elaborate soon).

Females: the 's' become 'ות', for example: door-דֵלֵת --> doors-דְלָתוֹת. (in Hebrew door is at feminine form, we will elaborate soon).

When talking about the gender we mean the grammatical gander - whether feminine or Masculine, we will use the words - female and male when talking about the grammatical gender in this course.

Important: when the instructors says that when an object ends with 'ת' is a female, he means that it is most of the times, but not always, there are exceptions , only pure experience will get you to know the grammatical gender of every object in Hebrew.

In Hebrew we notice the gender of the animal, and word 'it-זֶה' changes from female to male.

זֶה - ze - it (male).

זוּ - zoo - it (female).

the same goes for objects, but you can't really know the gender of an object, right? it comes only by the experience of practicing in Hebrew, don't worry about it.

The Verbs

In Hebrew the verbs is a very topic, and not very simple to understand . The verbs can not be taught in several lessons,it takes years of practice to understand and recognise all the tenses and the conjugations. here we try to simplify it as much as possible. We give you the basic rules of verbs, but the vocabulary is endless, so with the basics and a very special website (down below) you will have the tools to practice and learn as many verbs as possible.

Verbs in the lesson:

1) כ.ת.ב - Write root.

2) א.ה.ב - Love root.

You don't need to completely know all the verbs in order to speak Hebrew, or to finish this course, but here are some tips how you can enhance your knowledge with verbs:

1) first, understand that every verb have at least 6 forms (pronouns x tenses).

2) In this site you can choose your verb in english, choose tense, gender and S/P, and get all it's forms, so every time you need a specific verb, check this site and enhance your vocabulary, save it to your favourites, this is very helpful (more information in the Bonus section).

ר.ק.ד (contain the meaning of dance, as a verb).

with all of it's forms, as you can see, every verb have a lot of forms, depending on the gender, tense, and singular-plurality, newcomers (and sometimes even local Israelis) makes a lot of mistakes with it, so don't worry about it, know the root, and let the locals fix you when you make mistakes, this is the only way to learn, other than that, use the site we gave you in the last lesson to know specific forms of verbs if you have too, good luck.

The most confusing difference between Hebrew and English, is that in Hebrew the noun always comes first, even if there's adjective attached to it, unlike english. Another example you are familiar with is "Mazal Tov", and here's why:

English - Good(adj) Luck(n), reminder: Luck - מזל - mazal, Good - טוב - tov.

Hebrew - mazal(n) tov(adj), see? the noun comes first.

  The connecting letter (prefix) in this lesson:

  בְּ - in/at. Example: בְּגָן - In a garden.

  בַּ - in the / at the. Example: בַּגָן - In the garden.

  It can also be used to refer time, for example: בְּשָׁלוֹשׁ - At three (o'clock).

גָן - gan - Garden.

שָׁלוֹשׁ - shalosh - Three.
