A classic Sri Lankan meal that you will not forget.

I have all the resources you need to be successful in the recipe documents.

The right mix of spices and condiments make the ingredients.

Be warned, your neighbors may start salivating when they smell the aroma from your kitchen.

Onion and garlic are a staple in a Sri Lankan kitchen

Be careful about how much chili powder you add if you are still working on your heat tolerance.

Just another complexity in flavor to tantalize your taste buds.

You will also learn the trick with cooking white meats versus dark meats properly.

You have got to keep a good eye on it.

It looks absolutely delicious!  I hope you enjoy.

This is a special occasion form of rice eaten in Sri Lanka.  It is full of spices as well as delicious, buttery ghee.

It is such a rich tasting rice and the turmeric makes it colorful.

And here is where you add the coconut milk

The yummy aromas will fill your olfactory senses...

Why the spices of course : )

Mustard seed gives such a nice flavor.  It is the same stuff that is in your yellow mustard bottles.

Enjoy this delicious potato meal.  It is a good counter balance to the spicy curry.

In Sri Lanka, they actually grind this, which is pretty painstaking.  But we will blend ours instead.  ;)

This is a very easy dish to make.  It is cool, refreshing and healthy for you.

I like my rice in the center, covered in gravy.

I find that it tastes better when I use my hands.  You can also mix it better.  You just connect with your food in a different way.  If you think it is strange, just remember how it is not a big deal using your hands with eating barbecue.

How did it go?  Please let me know.  And use these coupons for your next meal!
