En este curso se abordarán los principales tópicos relacionados con la generación (síntesis) y el procesamiento de sonidos en el computador. Durante el transcurso de éste, se abordarán los fundamentos teóricos del sonido y los conceptos técnicos del audio digital, el procesamiento de audio y la síntesis de sonidos. Se revisarán las principales formas y métodos para diseñar, crear y modificar sonidos en formato digital para usarlos en tus propias composiciones musicales o arreglos. Al final del curso los conceptos aprendidos se aplicarán en una aplicación musical, utilizando herramientas de software especializadas, en la forma de un procesador multi-efecto de audio o un sintetizador digital.

L​es damos la bienvenida al curso Sonidos digitales: síntesis y procesamiento en el computador. E​n este curso tendrás la oportunidad crear y procesar sonidos en el computador. En los 5 módulos del curso revisaremos los conceptos que te ayudarán a entender y explorar el mundo sonoro digital creando tus propios sonidos.

Módulo 1: Introducción al sonido
En este módulo se discutirá sobre las características y propiedades principales del sonido. Conceptos que se aplicaremos en los siguientes módulos para crear y procesar sonidos.
Módulo 2: Audio digital
En este segundo módulo se revisarán los aspectos principales propios de la digitalización del sonido análogo, y presentarán algunos elementos utilizados por el audio digital.
Módulo 3: Efectos y procesamiento de sonidos
En este módulo se explicarán las características y aplicaciones de filtros digitales como elemento para procesar sonidos, y estudiarán el funcionamiento de los efectos digitales de audio más comunes.
Módulo 4: Métodos de generación de sonidos
En este cuarto módulo se estudiarán distintas técnicas de generación (síntesis) de sonidos.
Módulo 5: Aplicaciones de síntesis y procesamiento digital de audio
En este último módulo se revisarán las posibles etapas para construir un sintetizador y multi-efecto, mostrando un ejemplo práctico de sus aplicaciones.
