A tip that all the best mobile photographers know is not to use your phone's default camera app.  In this lecture, we'll give you a tutorial on a free app you can use to take pictures which capture much more data than your default camera.  Why is it essential you know this?  The more data in the image file you capture, the more flexibility you have to edit it and create maximum visual impact. 

Light - one of the main ingredients of successful photography.  We'll show you how to use light to create drama or evoke differnt moods in your pictures.  Different times of the day will provide you with different light and this lesson is about experimenting with this to create amazing results. 

This lesson is getting creative and getting beyond that fear of shooting pictures through objects.  By playing arou with this, sometimes you'll get some great results; sometimes it'll look a bit strange.  Either way, you'll really be developing as a photographer.

The eye is naturally drawn to balance.  This lesson will cover some composition structures you can use to help give your pictures balance.  This will be more attractive to your audience meaning greater engagement and a positive reaction to your photographs. 

In this lesson, you'll hear about what negative space is and how you can use it to draw your audience's eye to the main subject of your picture.  This will help you compose your picture to tell your own unique story through your pictures.  And it's your unique story that your followers and audience really want to hear. 

Say no to using the zoom on your camera!  We'll explain this and how you can play around with "depth of field" to improve your photography of close up objects.  In this, we'll show you how you can change the ordinary into the extraordinary, simply by getting up close and personal to it.

A prop can be any item that can help you share the story you want to tell through your photography.  We'll give you some ideas and examples to help trigger your creativity to start playing around with props in your pictures.

This is a basic retouching exercise that demonstrates how even photos that you'd normally discard can be saved by an original retouching. Here we use Lightroom, Snapseed and Lens Distortions to achieve the final look.

In this exercise we work with a picture with very well defined lines that meet in the horizon,  a simple colour palette and a story that we want to enhance. The original file "Kid in pier.jpg" can be downloaded in the resources section, along with the final result as seen in the video.

With this exercise we retouch the photo beyond the boundaries of colour to achieve a more dramatic effect, as with every exercise you have the original photo to play with and achieve your own results.

In this exercise we are retouching  a photo of a dog taken with the mobile phone, our objective in this exercise is to achieve a moody/dreamy saturated look that is commonly seen in photos of pets and other animals.
