Understand how the GDPR fits into the existing EU and UK data protection framework, what it means for organisations outside the EU, how it is enforced and how Brexit affects the UK situation.

In this lecture you will gain an understanding of what the GDPR is, how it fits into EU and UK law, the scope of the regulation and it's enforcement regime. Finally, you will understand how the regulation is affected by Brexit and the current position of the UK government.
