I would like to introduce myself and give you some insight into my handbags and my workshops.

This presentation will take around a half an hour.

My name is Sophie Springer, I was born in Austria, in Vienna, a city of a long tradition of highquality fashion. 30 years ago, I came to Florence to study fashion design and specialized in bag design, learning both the craftmanship and designing. For more than 15 years I have been teaching at different international fashion schools (drapery, pattern, sewing and accessories). This has given me a lot of experience in teaching students from all over the world.

With the current situation, where it is safer for us to stay in our own homes, I wanted to offer different workshops: Handbag design, up-cycling and draping.

Let me tell you something about my bags:

I have had my own brand for 15 years. All my bags are designed and hand- crafted by me and trained craftspeople in Florence.

Tuscany is famous for its centuries-old tradition of leather production and processing as well as its elegant and versatile fabric creations.I love to go out and source fabrics and leather for my new collections here around Florence.
