The course begins by taking a look at the Best Practices when creating t-shirt designs for Amazon, including the recommended guidelines suggested by Amazon themselves, as well as the technical parameters necessary to ensure a quality t-shirt design.

The class then looks at how to correctly use the Merch by Amazon template before taking a look at how to create your own custom template, for those of you who do not work within Photoshop, Illustrator or GIMP and thus cannot use the aforementioned template, or indeed for those of you that feel the Merch by Amazon template is a little bit too crowded and complicated.

Then the class looks at the different types of designs that sell well on Amazon and the good news here is that for the most part these seem to be simple designs that non-designers, that is to say those creatives amongst you who are not graphic designers and do not have any formal training in graphic design, are more than capable of creating .

The remaining modules in the course are t-shirt design tutorials that show you step-by-step how to create the type of designs that sell well on Amazon. Currently these modules are as follows:

- How To Create A Text-Based TShirt Design For Merch By Amazon

In this Module, I explain exactly why you should be creating Text Based T Shirt Designs for Merch by Amazon and I also take a look at basic typography and where you can source the fonts that you will use on your t-shirt designs.

The Module then goes on to show you how you can easily identify fonts that you like the look of, before finally creating some text-based t shirt design from scratch:

  • the creation of a simple design from within an iOS app, called Over
  • the creation of a more complex text design from within a professional vector type application, called Affinity Designer

- How To Create A Word Cloud TShirt Design For Merch By Amazon

In this Module, I am going to walk you through step-by-step how to create a Word Cloud t-shirt design from scratch, which you can then sell on Merch by Amazon.

The Module begins with an overview of the website where we will be creating the Word Cloud design and then takes a look at how to source the silhouette, which we shall use as the Image Mask for our Word Cloud.

The Module then goes on to show how you will need to prepare your image mask for use in your Word Cloud Design and also how you can both generate and then add the word list for your Word Cloud.

Finally, the Module shows you exactly how to create your Word Cloud Design from your mask image and word list, as well as how to correctly incorporate the Word Cloud into a suitable t-shirt design that it is ready to upload for sale on Merch By Amazon.
