I found that I had to constantly pause and replay because he simply covers content too quickly and misses the step by step processes, leaving you to wonder "what did he just do?".

Great step by step tutorial.

This course is excellent in that the lecturer is easy to listen to and the learning is step by step and thorough.

The approach of walking step by step to create a real project is tremendously helpful.

It's simplified and step by step so anyone at any level can follow along.

it is clear and instruction is step by step.

Love the step by step instructions, and you can jump back when needed.

It is a very didactic course and easy to follow, i really liked the way to explain the exercises step by step OK, I am convinced.

This course uses a lot of real world examples, which is great for me because I am a visual learner.

Not all the examples were applicable to the real world use, unlike the Photoshop course which was excellent.

The only thing id request is to maybe include 3-4 more of the real world logo exercises.

Real world exercises ... Great idea.

Also, the exercises were very well designed and I will certainly use the techniques used in my own real world designs.

I didn't mind the repeated shortcut mentions and helpful tips...anything to help workflow become more efficient will help translate into the real world.

I suggest adding more real world applications other than logos or adding a whole project for example at the end of the course.

Before this Illustrator Essentials Training I had taken the InDesign Essentials Training course (the InDesign course is also taught by Daniel Walter Scott).

I can say it's a great tutorial, I will make the others with Daniel Walter Scott.

Highly recommended if you’re an absolute beginner like myself =) Had trouble keeping up with the instructor.

I have been following this instructor since I got into Udemy and I love the way he teaches!

Coming from inkscape there is a lot off differences and this really helps a lot on filling in the gaps The way he teaches is just awesome.

I can follow through eventhough I pause and rewind it a couple of times.

I ran into a couple of issues and had to restart a couple of times.

Having completed the course, it's also been fun to now look at logos and other pieces of design and think "Hey that's a nice gradient" or "I think I could make that with the shape builder tool."

After just a week of study, I already feel confident creating my own (2D) graphics using a combination of the shape builder, pen, pencil and various other tools, and the course is ticking all the boxes for me.

And wait till you get to the Shape Builder Tool!

I now know there are trade-offs between the pen and curvature tools, and in a pinch it's actually not that hard to draw a bazillion polygons and then Shape Builder all the unnecessary parts away into an equivalent shape.

I'm especially thankful for Shape Builder part, because I've hated it for so long, because I wasn't using it correctly :D Thank you so much for your work, it was definatelly worth it.

The course is worth it just for the demonstration of Shape Builder.

however if you have an older version of illustrator there are something that the instructor doesn`t mention(ex.rounding of shapes) Yes great, match it just enhanced my adobe illustrator perspective by a million.

I have an older version of the software (CS6) so some of the tools he uses are not in my version.

I would definitely recommend this course for anyone interested in Adobe Illustrator even with an older version of it.

I use Illustrator at work, but I self taught myself, I have learnt so many good things on this course.

Never in a million years did I think I would be a self taught illustrator, but here I am!

I've been mostly self taught in Illustrator, this course has done a great job of explaining how and why to use particular tools.
