Reviews summary

Deep dive into 5g for telecom engineers

According to learners, this course offers a comprehensive and theoretically deep dive into 5G network architecture and protocols, proving particularly valuable for telecommunication engineers proficient in 3G/4G. Many commend its ability to clarify complex concepts like network slicing, MIMO, and beamforming, making it highly relevant for professional development. However, some students wished for more practical examples or hands-on activities, noting its predominantly theoretical focus. A significant point of discussion is the high prerequisite knowledge required, with some finding the pace challenging even with prior experience. The instructor's delivery was occasionally described as dry.
Content is directly applicable for telecom engineers' roles.
"Highly recommend for those already familiar with prior generations. Very relevant to my work."
"This course really solidified my understanding and is crucial for anyone working in next-gen wireless."
"The discussions around network design principles were particularly valuable. Very relevant to my work."
Provides strong, clear explanations of complex 5G concepts.
"This course is an excellent deep dive into 5G network architecture... the explanations of core network elements and protocol stack differences between 4G and 5G to be very clear and comprehensive."
"The module on Advanced 5G Technologies like MIMO and beamforming was incredibly well-structured. The visuals used in the lectures were very helpful in understanding these abstract concepts."
"I found the sections on MIMO and Beamforming to be very detailed and well-explained, going beyond superficial explanations often found elsewhere."
Content delivery could be more engaging, sometimes dense.
"The course material is comprehensive, but the delivery could be more engaging. Sometimes the instructor's monologue was a bit dry."
"I learned a lot... but it required significant effort to stay focused."
"The lectures sometimes jump quickly between topics, making it quite dense."
Course is highly theoretical, lacking hands-on or real-world cases.
"My only minor critique is that I hoped for more practical examples or case studies, especially regarding advanced technologies like beamforming in real-world scenarios."
"Maybe some more hands-on lab simulations would enhance the learning experience, but overall a positive experience."
"I learned a lot conceptually, but I really missed having some practical exercises or scenarios to apply the knowledge immediately."
Assumes deep proficiency in 3G/4G; not for generalists.
"While it states it's for engineers proficient in 3G/4G, I felt some foundational knowledge was either skipped or not sufficiently reviewed... If you're not an expert, you might struggle."
"Completely overwhelmed. The title should mention 'Expert Level' 5G. This course was far too technical and didn't provide enough context for me."
"It's definitely for serious learners, and it assumes a very strong background in 3G/4G, which I have, but even then, it can be quite dense."
