La Organización Mundial de la Salud, ha demostrado y propuesto que en miras de lograr personas laboralmente saludables, se debe de proveer de entornos que promuevan la salud y el bienestar de los trabajadores.

La salud y el bienestar, tienen como componentes inseparables a la alimentación y el ejercicio, sin embargo, el ritmo de vida actual, dificulta que los empleados se ocupen de estas áreas de sus vidas ya que pasan ⅔ partes del día en sus empresas y puestos de trabajo.
