1. La población tiene acceso a agua potable en cantidad y calidad adecuadas y a un precio justo para solventar sus necesidades básicas de consumo, saneamiento, higiene y salud. Esta condición favorece su desarrollo integral y le permite hacer valer todos sus derechos humanos.

2. Los ecosistemas son aprovechados de manera sustentable para que puedan seguir brindando sus servicios

ambientales, de los cuales dependen tanto las personas como la naturaleza.

3. Existe un adecuado abastecimiento de agua para la producción de alimentos y de energía, así como para la

industria, el transporte y el turismo.

4. La población es resiliente a los efectos relacionados con los fenómenos hidrometeorológicos extremos, incluyendo inundaciones, sequías y transporte de contaminantes.
