Through this training, one learn to assemble the solar study lamp by their own.
This hands-on training course comes under Energy Swaraj Foundation's program Solar Ambassador Workshop(SAW). This training will help master trainers and students to assemble solar study lamp on their own. Students will be provided with Solar Study Lamp kit in disassembled for. One master trainer (for 25 students) will be trained for assembling lamp through this training. Now trained master trainer will train students to assemble this lamp. Now let's see technical specifications of Solar Study Lamp. The rating of solar panel is 2.5Wp, 5Vmp. Lithium ferrophosphate battery is rated 3.2V, 2000mAh with 12 hours (4 hoours on high mode and 8 hours on low mode) battery backup. The lamp takes 4-5 hours of full sunlight for its charging. LED's rating is 1W.
The assembly of the solar study lamp is quite an exciting process which requires the assembly of the following physical and technical components, the description of which is also given below:
LED Cap, Reflector, LED face, Switch Cap, Gooseneck, Base top, Base bottom, Screws
Let's see SAW program specifics-

Cost of solar study lamp Kit-
Cost of solar study lamp is INR 850 (per lamp kit/per student)
The above cost includes various components like Solar study lamp kit, transportation cost, Training cost and E- Certifications.
In this module, one will learn about the preparation to be done prior to the workshop. It will include segregation of the materials and some few things that will help to conduct the hands-on training session successfully.
In this module, one will learn about the preparation to be done for the workshop. It will include handling of the material and prerequisites that will help to conduct the hands-on training session successfully.
After looking to all prerequisite required for training session. Let's move to next module. In this module, one will get to know the basics of solar study lamp working principle. Solar study lamp glows when electrical energy flows through wire to LED from source. Do yo want to know how? Let's understand about it!
Voltage is a very important electrical term that makes current flow through the conductor. Let's understand about the voltage through this module!
Current is a very important electrical term. Let's understand about the voltage through this module!
Voltage and Current together makes electrical power. Do you know how? Let's understand about it in this module!
Without energy nothing can work and so the electrical components. In this module, one will learn about the energy and its unit.
To assemble the solar lamp, one would need certain tools like multimeter, screwdriver etc. In this module, one will learn about the toolkits required for solar study lamp assembly and its uses.
To paste one part with other like switch with solar lamp upper bottom or LED with LED cap, adhesive glue is required. In this module, one will learn to glue the different part of solar lamp kits and that too with safety precaution.
To connect one part with other through screws, one will need screwdriver. In this module, one will learn how to use screwdrivers to connect different components of solar lamp.
Soldering process is a very integral part of solar lamp assembly training. In this module, one will learn to set up soldering station, use of soldering rod and safety precautions.
Multimeter is a measuring device use to measure and test Voltage and Current of the technical components of solar study lamp. In this module, one will learn to use the multimeter and process to measure voltage and current.
In this module, one will learn the different technical and physical components of solar study lamp.
Every electrical work should be perform with safety precautions. In this module, one will learn the precaution to be taken while assembling the solar study lamp.
In the previous modules, one has learn about the basic steps that will help to assemble the solar study lamp. This module is now the first step to assemble the lamp. Let's see where to apply glue in the lamp!
Load wire is a very important part of the solar study lamp to carry current to LED. In this module, one will learn to solder the load wire with LED and then finally connecting it with PCB.
In this module, one will learn next step of solar study lamp assembly i.e.to fit the PCB and Battery with base bottom of the solar lamp.
After fitting battery and PCB, now its time to connect base bottom with base top of solar lamp and LED cap with LED cover. Let's see how to connect base and top bottom with each other! One will need screwdriver for it.
After connecting all parts, now is the time to test the solar study lamp to proceed to final step. Let's do the testing and see how the lamp LED glows!
In this module, one will learn to troubleshoot the solar study lamp incase it's no working. Watch this video very carefully as it will ease out the process.
