Exploration et production de données pour les entreprises from Coursera

Ce cours fournit un cadre analytique afin de vous aider à évaluer les problèmes clés de manière structurée. Il vous procurera également des outils afin de mieux gérer les incertitudes qui envahissent et compliquent les processus des entreprises. Plus précisément, vous serez initié(e) aux statistiques et à la manière de résumer les données. Vous découvrirez les concepts de fréquence, de loi normale, d’études statistiques, de l’échantillonnage et des intervalles de confiance.

Tout en vous initiant à la science de ce qui est enseigné, nous nous concentrerons sur l’application des méthodologies. À cette fin, nous utiliserons Excel et des ensembles de données provenant de nombreuses disciplines différentes, ce qui vous permettra de découvrir l’utilisation des statistiques dans des contextes très diversifiés. Le cours se concentrera non seulement sur l’explication de ces concepts, mais également sur la compréhension de la signification des résultats obtenus.

Au terme de ce cours, vous serez en mesure :

• de résumer de grands ensembles de données sous forme de graphiques, tableaux et chiffres.

• de comprendre l’importance d’un échantillonnage adapté et pourquoi vous pouvez vous fonder sur les informations contenues dans les échantillons.

• de comprendre pourquoi la loi normale peut être utilisée dans un si grand nombre de contextes.

• d’utiliser les informations issues de l’échantillon afin de déduire des informations sur la population avec un certain niveau de confiance quant à l’exactitude des estimations.

• d’utiliser Excel pour l’analyse statistique.
