Academic writing and research flaws

This course has been criticized for its practices that force students to buy textbooks, not to mention several instances where emails went unanswered. Furthermore, students who were not students at Peking University were not given access to databases needed for coursework.
Emails to the professor and TAs often went unanswered.
"...助教和教授都不會回信的..."
Students had to buy their own textbooks.
"這門課真是爛透了,除了要學生自己花錢買課本..."
Non-Peking University students couldn't access databases.
"...因為不是北大學生,不能課堂使用的資料庫..."
