Teach English Now! Second Language Listening, Speaking, and Pronunciation

TESOL Certificate, Part 2: Teach English Now!,

In this course, you will be introduced to some of the challenges of teaching and learning listening and speaking, such as paralinguistics, performance variables, reduced and regional forms, and differing types of oral discourse. Don't worry--you'll learn what those mean, too! Then you'll learn how to ease the acquisition of listening and speaking for your students. The course also highlights the powerful opportunity to include pronunciation in listening and speaking classes and offers strategies to incorporate pronunciation activities.

so many

This course develops our understanding, not only of what needs to be taught, but so many strategies and tools to give the prospective teacher confidence and a handle on just what is needed for this particular situation and for this special learner group....and what is IMPORTANT!

Very interesting course; as an American (English 1st language) parent, I can see where we can take so many things for granted.

It seems also that with written assignments, so many students didn't quite grasp the instructions/concept of the assignment.

I got so many great ideas on how to integrate speaking, listening and pronunciation into my lessons, thanks a lot!
