Ce mouvement se manifeste par l’apparition de nouvelles approches favorables à une utilisation accrue de la recherche : transfert de connaissances, prise de décision et pratiques fondées sur des données probantes, mobilisation des connaissances, application des connaissances, valorisation des connaissances, etc.

Les études sur le sujet montrent que le processus menant à l’utilisation des connaissances est si complexe que la science et la recherche sont encore trop peu considérées dans les milieux de pratique et de prise de décisions. Un consensus se dégage des écrits scientifiques montrant que les efforts déployés pour rendre disponibles les connaissances scientifiques représentent une condition nécessaire, mais non suffisante, à leur réelle utilisation dans la pratique.

Parmi les stratégies déployées pour favoriser cette mise en action des connaissances scientifiques, le courtage des connaissances représente une avenue prometteuse. De quoi s'agit-il?

Le courtage de connaissances est défini comme un processus qui repose sur un intermédiaire (une personne ou une organisation), et qui vise à favoriser les interactions entre le monde de la recherche, de la pratique et de la prise de décision. Les activités de courtage peuvent comprendre de repérer des connaissances valides et pertinentes, de les transformer dans un format adapté et de les transférer aux différents publics ciblés ou encore de faciliter la mise en œuvre de ces connaissances, afin d’améliorer les pratiques et les politiques.(Définition adaptée de Munerol, Cambon et Alla, 2013)

Ce troisième MOOC permettra de vous familiariser avec les principales activités d’un courtier ou courtière de connaissances telles que l’élaboration d’un mandat de courtage, la gestion et la synthèse des connaissances, l’animation de réseaux d’acteurs, le renforcement des capacités ou encore la planification d’une démarche de transfert de connaissances et l’accompagnement au changement.
