'Brilliant course. I can't recommend it highly enough. Matt is a great teacher and what really comes across is how much he enjoys what he does. There's no weariness or lack of interest because he's teaching "beginner" magic. His attitude is "look how awesome this. "....and you what? He's right. Cheers Matt.'

Introduction

This is a quick overview of the course to get you pumped up and excited about what you are about to learn!

This course is aimed at requiring minimal skill, but I feel like being able to do a basic Overhand shuffle is an essential life skill.

In this Video I'll walk you through how to do a basic Overhand Shuffle. So grab a deck of cards and let's do it!

Although not necessary for the tricks on this course, this is a nice technique to master. You can practice this if you wish to look super slick.  In this lesson, you'll learn how to spread the cards neatly on a table. It will help to give your card tricks a finishing touch.

Ready to learn your first card trick? This is a brilliant trick in which not only do you find the spectators, but you also hit them with a surprising climax at the end!

If you can cut a deck of cards, you can do this trick. All it takes is a simple set up at the start and the trick works itself. Let's do it!

Ready to win free drinks for life? This is a brilliant trick in which the spectators agree to a sure fire bet. They think you have seriously messed up.  In the end you find their card, win the bet and get a free drink out of it!

This trick is so easy to do you almost feel bad for winning the bet! Again, if you can cut a deck of cards, you can do this trick with ease!

The spectator has a free choice to place two queens anywhere they want in the deck. Incredible both queens are placed next to the remaining queens that match in colour!

The spectator really can place the queens wherever they want, but because of the secret, they will always place the queen next to the matching queen of the same colour. The beautiful construction of this trick takes care of the hard work so that you can relax and enjoy performing it.

An awesome trick in which a card is chosen in the fairest way and the spectator mixes it into the deck themselves, but you are always able to find it.

Here you will learn the secret of the Key Card Principle which makes the trick work. The cool part is that the spectator does the secret for you!

The magician removes a prediction card from the deck. The spectator then deals as many cards as they like into a pile, and then divides the cards  between themselves and the magician. In the end, the two cards on the top of each pile match the card that the magician removed at the start of the trick in an unbelievable way!

Don't let how easy this trick is fool you! This is an unbelievable trick that gets such a great reaction. The secret is all in the presentation!

A classic trick and usually one of the first card tricks an aspiring magician learns.

The magician deals out three rows of seven cards and the spectator is asked to merely think of one of the cards. In the end, the magician reads the mind of the spectator and tells them the exact card they are thinking of.

Grab a deck of cards and follow along and you will actually fool yourself!

From a deck of cards that the spectator has just shuffles, the magician inputs a secret code into the deck which unbelievably reveals the four aces in very surprising way!

Being able to have a deck shuffled by a spectator and then producing the four aces is going to ensure that nobody will ever want to play cards with you again!

The deck is shuffled and the spectator cuts the deck into four piles. Impossibly the spectator has cut to the four aces and has no idea how they just did it!

This is a very clever trick in which the spectator does all the secret stuff for you!

One of my favourite tricks on the course. A spectator picks a card and then mixes it back into the deck. Without even touching the cards, the magician can name the exact position of the card from the top of the deck. The spectator counts down and reveals the card. You need to learn this one now!

The secret to this one is so clever! A small set-up from the start and you are good to go!

This trick has so many surprises it's unbelievable! Not only do you find a card the spectator is thinking of, but you also produce the four aces, a flush and a royal flush to boot! You can't get any better than that!

In this trick you will learn a simple card force and one of the best self working card tricks in the whole course!

A classic trick of magic. With the cards face down, the spectator separates all the red cards from all of the black cards and they have no idea how they have done it! Unbelievable.

There are many ways to do this classic trick. This is one of the best! Before the spectator knows what's going to happen, you have already done all the secret stuff. If you can count to 26, you can do this trick, and its one of the most powerful card tricks ever!

Congratulations! You've finished the course. Here I offer an few additional hints on tips on how best to practice and perfect everything that you have learned.
