El dolor, especialmente el dolor crónico, es un problema de salud que afecta a la calidad de vida de quien lo sufre. El dolor crónico afecta a más de 6 millones de personas adultas en España y representa el principal impacto negativo en salud, independientemente de la edad y el sexo, y en su entorno familiar.

Precisamente, con el objetivo de dar respuesta a las necesidades derivadas de convivir con él, en el marco del "Aula Fundación Grunenthal de Dolor" (http://www.universidadpacientes.org/dolor/) de la "Fundació Salut i Envelliment UAB" (http://salut-envelliment.uab.cat/), ponemos en marcha este curso MOOC en español.

Esta formación propone que nos aproximemos al dolor crónico (independientemente del tipo que sea) de manera general, para contribuir a mejorar nuestro manejo del mismo. Además el curso pone en valor nuestra propia experiencia, pero también muestra estrategias adicionales para mejorar el autocuidado de la salud, basadas en la evidencia científica.

Aprendizaje online
Te damos la bienvenida a bordo. En este curso aprenderás diferentes modos de manejar el dolor. Cada semana te llevaremos a través de un itinerario formativo que permitirá conocer otras experiencias y maneras de hacer. Esta semana te presentamos el "Módulo 1: Aprendizaje Online". Te mostraremos ejemplos de cómo sacar el máximo partido a este curso y sus herramientas. El resto del curso te iremos presentado poco a poco los objetivos del resto de módulos. No dudes en contactarnos si tienes alguna duda en relación al Curso.
El curso está impartido por diferentes miembros del equipo de la Fundació Salut i Envelliment UAB y te haremos llegar nuestros comentarios y apoyo durante la realización del curso. Como has visto vamos a seguir un itinerario formativo, basada en 4 módulos organizado en 6 semanas. Cada semana abordaremos diferentes objetivos a través de diferentes actividades con el uso de varias herramientas. Es por ese motivo, que el objetivo del presente módulo es mostrar la manera de trabajar online y algunas de las herramientas que utilizaremos a lo largo del curso.

En esta semana abordaremos de lleno el modelo biopsicosocial, que se trata de un modelo conceptual que se aplica en el cuidado y atención de las personas que sufren una condición de salud crónica y que propone que se deben incluir en el abordaje de la misma, no sólo los aspectos biológicos habituales (las causas, los síntomas, etc), sinó también los factores psicológicos y sociales para mejorar la comprensión de la enfermedad que sufre una persona y su entorno familiar.
