Reviews summary

Practical spoken mandarin for business

According to learners, Mandarin Chinese Level 2 is a largely positive follow-up to Level 1, particularly strong in developing practical communication skills. Students found the vocabulary extensive and grammar explanations are clear, with a valuable focus on nuances like differentiating China and Taiwan vocabulary. Many appreciated the emphasis on tones and intonation and the verified track pronunciation lessons. However, a key point mentioned by several is the course's deliberate lack of focus on reading and writing characters, requiring learners to supplement with other materials. Some also felt the content could occasionally feel a bit dry or lacked depth compared to expectations, and one found the confidence-building aspect less effective than hoped.
