Step #1: Create a Business Email Account. I suggest using your first and name last or your first and last name with a virtual assistant or social media marketer, or something that pertains to your business. ex – amydemoneva@gmail.com. OR if you already have a domain name, then you have the option of using google suite for as low as $5 USD per month.

Step #2: Watch this video and then set up your inbox for success!

Week #1
OVERVIEW
Day #20 + #21

Action Step #1:
Go and watch Simon Sinek Find Your Why Video. This will really shed some light on the importance it holds in marketing.

Action Step #2: Take 10 minutes to really think about why you are doing this. Journal on it. Write it down. Get it out in the world and MAKE IT REAL.

Action Step: Tell someone why you know you can do this. A spouse, friend, pet, strange on the street – the weirder the better in my opinion. Don’t believe you can do this? Email support-jedi@amydemone.com and we’ll talk you out of it.

Action Step: Start to think about what you’d like to do as a VA or OSP. Dream big. This is part goal setting, part getting you ready to decide how you are going to market yourself. If you are stuck in the mud, list EVERYTHING you think you’d like to do – we’ll help narrow it down at a later point.

Action Step: Answer the following questions:

Non Negotiable: Commit to this challenge for the next 30 days.

Action Step:
6 Months + 5 Year Goals
Separate this into 2 separate lists
How many hours do you want to work?
How many clients do you want to have?
How much money do you want to make?
How much free time do you want to have?
Do you want to build an online presence?

Personal Life:
Where do you want to live?
What extras do you want to be able to afford?
What do your personal relationships look like?

Day #6 + #7

Action Step: Figure out what you are going to offer. Take the list you created in Day #4 and see what services you can market today. Do you like website creation and SEO, PERFECT. What about SEO and blogging? Or Social Media and Facebook Ads?

Action Step: Figure Out Your Niche. This is your FIRST step in finding (and thriving in) your niche/market. Once you commit to a niche, look below for next steps on how to get super clear on your niche so that you can kill it in the online service provider world.

Action Steps:

  • Decide which entity type makes the most sense for your business (consult with an attorney for more guidance)

  • Determine if you are required to register your business in your state/country/province/country

  • Obtain a business ID number

  • Open a business checking account

  • Call an insurance agent to determine what you need

  • Decide which contract you need and purchase templates

Action Steps:

  • Choose an accounting system and set it up

  • Decide if you are going to hire a bookkeeper or do it yourself

  • Schedule bi-weekly “money meetings”

Action Steps:

  • Decide if you are going to hire an accountant to prepare your taxes

  • Create a calendar of your tax filing obligations

Day 13+14
Marketing

Action Step: Make a list of every place online and offline your ideal customer hangs out in. Then refer to the resources section to learn how to proceed.

Action Step: It’s time to set up your Facebook business page. Make sure to follow every step we just covered. You got this!

Action Steps: Decide RIGHT NOW if you are going to commit to Instagram. And if you are, go out and create your Instagram account. Then post your first photo with the requirements just listed.

If you are going to be using an account you already have, then I suggest deleting all posts that are totally off brand and don’t match the layout you choose from step #2. That way you can still look polished and keep your old stuff and engagement.

Action Steps:

  • Add an updated photo, update your title and headline

  • Now go in and update your banner

  • Finally go ahead and start looking for keywords that you ideal clients would use to search for you.

Action Step #1: CHOOSE IF YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE A WEBSITE(I WOULD) and commit to learning about how to get hosting, and a domain name.

Action Step #2: Time for some copywriting. Just remember this – your website is more about your client than you so make sure you do some market research (google surveys in facebook groups) about gaining some insight into your market and who you are going to serve.

The Client Experience

Action Step: Create a canned response of your referral letter. You can tailor this to how you talk and how you want to run your business. Don’t just copy the examples in the resource section for today.

Action Step: PRACTICE TIME!!! Grab a buddy and practice your sales call with them. Lets learn how to sell shall we?

Action Step: Draft a canned response to your follow up email. Resources below.

Action Steps: Go out and create your welcome packet. Use the pdf in resources section below and follow it to create your own welcome packet. And make sure you DESIGN the welcome packet as well – or pay someone else to do it (or get a friend whose learning design – hint hint).

Action Step #1:
Create an exit survey in google forms for all current and to-be clients. Include the questions in the resources below.

Action Step #2: Draft a canned response to accompany the exit survey.

Day #27 + #28
How to Get Clients

Action Step: Choose 3 websites where you are going to COMMIT to finding clients, be specific. If you are picking Facebook Groups, know the names of each group.

Action Step: Research AND pitch 20 people/businesses on your services. This may take longer than 1 day (and can be more tiring than you think). Set a date that all 20 should be pitched by and STICK TO IT. You got this
