Introduction à l’informatique

Bienvenue dans Principes de base du support technique, le premier cours du Certificat de Professionnel du support informatique ! En vous inscrivant à ce cours, vous faites le premier pas dans votre carrière dans le monde de la technologie. Pendant la première semaine de cours, vous apprendrez comment les ordinateurs ont été inventés, comment ils ont évolué au fil du temps et comment ils fonctionnent aujourd’hui. Nous apprendrons également ce qu’est un Spécialiste du support informatique et en quoi consiste son travail. À la fin de ce module, vous saurez compter comme un ordinateur en utilisant le système binaire et comprendrez l'importance de ces calculs dans notre société actuelle. C'est parti !

Matériel

Au cours de la deuxième semaine de ce cours, nous allons découvrir ce qu'il y a à l'intérieur d'un ordinateur, ses composants matériels et ses différentes pièces. Nous verrons ce que font tous les composants et comment ils interagissent pour faire fonctionner l'ordinateur. À la fin de ce module, vous saurez également comment construire un ordinateur à partir de zéro !

Système d’exploitation

Au cours de la troisième semaine de cours, nous nous familiariserons avec les systèmes d’exploitation (OS). Nous discuterons des systèmes d’exploitation les plus utilisés aujourd’hui et apprendrons comment ils interagissent avec le matériel informatique. Nous découvrirons le processus de démarrage d’un système d’exploitation et vous montrerons comment installer Windows, Linux et Mac OS X à partir de zéro. À la fin de ce module, vous interagirez directement avec les systèmes d’exploitation Windows et Linux via l’environnement Qwiklabs.

Réseautage

Lors de la quatrième semaine de ce cours, nous apprendrons ce qu'est le réseautage informatique. Nous explorerons l’histoire d’Internet et verront ce qu’est réellement « la toile ». Nous discuterons également de sujets tels que la confidentialité sur Internet, la sécurité et ce à quoi pourrait ressembler l’avenir d’Internet. Vous comprendrez également pourquoi Internet a des limites, même aujourd'hui. À la fin de ce module, vous saurez comment Internet fonctionne et reconnaîtrez les impacts positifs et négatifs d'Internet sur le monde.

Logiciel

Au cours de la cinquième semaine de ce cours, nous découvrirons les logiciels informatiques. Nous apprendrons ce qu'est réellement un logiciel et les différents types de logiciels que vous pouvez rencontrer en tant que spécialiste du support informatique. Nous examinerons également comment gérer les logiciels et revisiterons le concept d’« abstraction ». À la fin de ce module, vous utiliserez l'environnement Qwiklabs pour installer, mettre à jour et supprimer des logiciels sous les systèmes d'exploitation Windows et Linux.

Dépannage

Félicitations, vous êtes arrivé à la dernière semaine du cours ! Dans cette dernière semaine, vous découvrirez l’importance du dépannage et du support client. Nous passerons en revue quelques scénarios concrets que vous pourriez rencontrer dans un poste au service d'assistance ou de support informatique. Nous apprendrons pourquoi l'empathie avec un utilisateur est particulièrement importante lorsque l'on travaille dans un rôle technique. Enfin, nous apprendrons pourquoi la rédaction de documentation est un aspect important de tout poste informatique.
