This is your first lesson, in which you will learn many basic German greetings as well as how to say yes and no.
In this lesson we will go through the basic alphabet, going into detail on the particular pronunciation of single letters, comparing it with and distinguishing it from the English language. Learning the correct pronunciation of letters, sounds and words is a vital step in early language learning and will help you a lot throughout your linguistic journey.
And here is another important lesson about the German alphabet. This time you will be taught all the common letter combinations in the German language to get you to confidently pronounce any German word, even the famously long ones or words you have never seen or heard before.
Decide whether the CH is a soft or a hard sound in the following words. Feel free to already learn the newly introduced words.
Here we allow you to eavesdrop on a little pronunciation discussion between Sonja and your fellow student Bosco.
You will learn personal pronouns as well as the verbs "have" and "be". This enables you to build your first simple sentences.
Choose the right personal pronoun and write it into the gap.
You will learn all the important German question words, the so called W-Wörter. You will be able to ask simple questions that are very useful for first time meetings with strangers whom you want to know more about.
Now you will learn a few regular verbs and how they are conjugated.

You will be introduced to the concept of inversion (the mandatory change of word order). Word order is where most German learners make mistakes even after years and years of studying. Make sure to grasp and absorb the concept of inversion and train yourself to get it right from the very beginning. It is important to detach from the word order of your native language when constructing German sentences.
Decide whether the subject or the verb goes first.
In this lesson you will learn about the dreaded Der Die Das, i.e the three German genders and their articles.
In this lesson we will go through the numbers in German, which makes this a simple vocabulary learning lesson.

This lesson is all about negation using "nicht" and the various forms of "kein".

This lesson is all about the Akkusativ case, which is the fourth out of our four cases in German declension. We are starting out with this one as it is the one that conceptually is easiest to grasp as you will find accusative like phenomena in English as well.

This is a special greeting from your teacher Sonja after you have completed the course. You will meet her again in Berlin for some more vocabulary studying, practical application of language and general tips and tricks and advice.
You are now on the train to Berlin where Sonja is already waiting for your arrival. You will be welcomed to the city and guided through the process of buying a train ticket.
Sonja will show you your accommodation. You will be exposed to many new words of objects that are useful around the house.
Now you get to do some sight-seeing. Sonja will show you the most exciting buildings in Berlin and talk to you a bit about their history and meaning.
