It is integral for anyone seeking a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate to have a strong understanding of data. Knowing how to identify, gather and analyze data helps you make informed project decisions and further product and process excellence.

This six-week course introduces participants to basic descriptive statistics, including probability, measurements of central tendency and dispersion, calculation and interpretation of key statistical metrics and data visualization. Lean Six Sigma Descriptive Statistics also covers hypothesis testing and its application, acceptance sampling and statistical process control.

Through course lessons, instructor insight and peer discussions, you will also learn how to construct and interpret process control charts, and perform measurement systems analysis (gage reproducibility and repeatability studies).

Knowledge of mathematics at the pre-calculus level is required, but no prior knowledge of statistics is assumed.

Lean Six Sigma Descriptive Statistics requires an average of five hours of coursework each week, including reading assignments, discussions and exercises. Each week's activities are due by midnight the following Sunday.
