By the end of this course, students will be familiar with deploying and configuring the AWS-provided Instance Scheduler tool. Students will also be familiar with setting up schedules and periods for Instance Scheduler in three different methods: manually in DynamoDB, through the Scheduler CLI, and with SSM Maintenance Window. Students will also understand the architecture of Instance Scheduler and how to appropriately tag compute resources (EC2 and/or RDS instances) to associate those resources with schedules and reduce uptime cost.
