We cover a whole range of different conditions and techniques; from knowing how to put an infant in the recovery position if they are unresponsive but breathing, to giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) if they’re not.

First aid saves lives and knowing what to do in an emergency can make all the difference. First aid is a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact. In this lecture Karen describes the importance of learning first aid and how the course will give you knowledge and confidence to save a life when it really counts.
If your baby is hurt, you will need to assess their injuries using the primary survey. In this lecture Izzy will teach you how you can use the primary survey as a quick way help you establish what is wrong with your baby and the best way you can help them.
Brush up on your first aid skill and learn Baby CPR with the stars of Nursery Rhymes Inc., the new advert from St John Ambulance. Remember the song, in case things go wrong.
If a baby is unresponsive and not breathing, giving a baby CPR can help keep them alive until an ambulance arrives. In this lecture Darryl will teach you what CPR is, why we do it and how it is performed. You will also learn when to ring for an ambulance when dealing with an unresponsive and not breathing baby on your own.
If a baby is unresponsive and not breathing, you’ll need to do CPR. In this lecture Darryl will teach you how to perform CPR when someone else is present to help you.
The first aid emergency that parents are most worried about is their baby not breathing, yet only 1 in 4 know what to do. In this lecture you will see Izzy & Darryl work together demonstrating a real-time run-through on how to perform CPR on a baby who is not breathing.

Choking is when your airway gets blocked and you can’t breathe properly. In this lecture Izzy will teach you what to do if your baby is choking, including how to dislodge a blockage and when to call for an ambulance.
Febrile seizures are the most common types of seizure for babies and children. In this lecture Izzy describes how to spot the signs of a febrile seizure and how to respond to them.
Karen summarises what has been taught on the course and describes how you can help us with achieving our vision “Everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them.
