This course will get you up to speed with core data concepts and how they are implemented using Microsoft Azure data services. We cover big data, NoSQL resources and tooling as well as traditional relational databases in the Cloud. Completing this course will prepare you to sit the DP-900 Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals exam. And you'll become an expert at Buzzword Bingo, too! #### You Before This Course: * Hands-on experience performing basic IT or programming tasks. * Familiarity with simple data-related concepts, such as reading and interacting with tables and charts in a spreadsheet. * Foundational knowledge of cloud concepts and experience in the Azure Portal. (The first chapter of the course includes a brief review of the most course-relevant cloud concepts in Azure as well as an optional lab, *Accessing and Using the Azure Portal*.) * NOTE: While not required, students who have earned the AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals certification, or who have equivalent knowledge and experience, will be at an advantage in preparing for the DP-900 certification exam. Check out our AZ-900 course or shorter Intro to Azure course. #### You After This Course: By the end of our time together, you should possess business-level and novice technical knowledge of core data concepts -- and have hands-on practice applying those concepts using Azure data resources. You will be prepared to pass the DP-900 exam to earn the Azure Data Fundamentals certification and/or you will be better prepared to study for Microsoft’s Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Database Administrator Associate certifications.
