Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is a standard for wireless broadband communication for mobile devices and data terminals, based on the GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA technologies. Introduced in the late 2000s, LTE's speed and low latency made it ideal for streaming video, online gaming, and other bandwidth-intensive applications. LTE became the dominant mobile broadband technology in the 2010s, and continues to evolve with new features and capabilities.

What is LTE?

LTE is a fourth-generation (4G) wireless communication technology that provides high-speed data access for mobile devices. It is based on the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) modulation technique, which divides the available bandwidth into multiple subcarriers. This allows for more efficient use of the spectrum and higher data rates than previous technologies.
