Otolaryngology, also known as ear, nose, and throat (ENT) medicine, is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. Otolaryngologists, also known as ENT doctors, are physicians who have undergone specialized training in the medical and surgical management of these conditions.

What is Otolaryngology?

Otolaryngology encompasses a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Ear disorders, such as hearing loss, tinnitus, ear infections, and balance problems
  • Nose and sinus disorders, such as nasal congestion, allergies, sinusitis, and nasal polyps
