• Modern globalization (1800-1945 CE): This period was marked by the Industrial Revolution, which led to a significant increase in the production of goods and services and the development of new modes of transportation, such as the steamship and the railroad. This period also saw the rise of the United States as a major economic and political power.
• Contemporary globalization (1945 CE-present): This period has been marked by the rapid growth of international trade and investment, the rise of multinational corporations, and the spread of ideas and culture through mass media and the Internet.
