HashiCorp Packer is an open-source tool for building, managing, and distributing virtual machine images. It allows you to automate the process of creating images for various cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and VMware vSphere. With Packer, you can define a template that describes the desired configuration of your image, including the operating system, software packages, and network settings. Packer then uses this template to create an image that can be used to deploy virtual machines in the cloud or on-premises.
