Gender Stereotypes is a belief that a person should restrict their behavior to the norms or roles that society considers appropriate for their gender. These stereotypes can manifest in many ways, from the way people are expected to dress and behave to the types of jobs they are expected to do. There are many different forms of gender stereotypes. Some of these include:

Occupational stereotypes, which are beliefs about which jobs are appropriate for men and which are appropriate for women.

Personality stereotypes, which are beliefs about the personality traits that are typical of men and women.

Physical appearance stereotypes, which are beliefs about the physical appearance that is typical of men and women.
Gender stereotypes can have a negative impact on both men and women. For example, occupational stereotypes can lead to women being underrepresented in certain fields, such as science and technology. Personality stereotypes can lead to men and women being treated differently in the workplace, with men being more likely to be seen as leaders and women being more likely to be seen as followers. Physical appearance stereotypes can lead to people being judged based on their appearance, rather than their abilities.
