Language variation is the study of how language changes across different groups of people. It encompasses both the systematic and unsystematic differences in language use that can be found between different dialects, sociolects, and other speech communities. Language variation can be found in all aspects of language, from pronunciation and grammar to vocabulary and discourse. The study of language variation can help us to understand how language works, how it is used in different contexts, and how it changes over time.
