Amazon Web Services (AWS) Snowball is a data transfer service that enables organizations to move large amounts of data into and out of the AWS cloud. It consists of a ruggedized appliance shipped to the organization's location, which can be used to transfer data of up to 100TB. This appliance is then reattached to the organization's network, and the data is copied onto it. The appliance is then shipped back to AWS, where the data is then copied into the cloud.
