High School Mathematics Teacher
As a high school mathematics teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering mathematics instruction to high school students. You will work with students of all levels, from those who are struggling to those who are excelling. You will be responsible for creating a positive and supportive learning environment in which all students can succeed.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The day-to-day responsibilities of a high school mathematics teacher include:
- Planning and preparing lessons. You will need to plan and prepare lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and that meet the needs of your students.
- Delivering instruction. You will deliver instruction in a variety of ways, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
- Assessing student learning. You will assess student learning through a variety of methods, including formative and summative assessments.
- Providing feedback. You will provide feedback to students on their work in order to help them improve their understanding.
- Collaborating with other teachers. You will collaborate with other teachers in your department and school to ensure that all students are receiving the best possible education.
