Computer-aided engineering (CAE) engineers are responsible for using computer software to simulate and analyze the performance of products and processes. They use their knowledge of engineering principles and computer science to create models that can predict how a product will perform under different conditions. CAE engineers work in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing.

Job Duties of a CAE Engineer

CAE engineers typically perform the following tasks:

Develop and use computer models to simulate the performance of products and processes
Analyze the results of simulations to identify potential problems
Recommend design changes or process improvements to address potential problems
Work with other engineers and designers to develop and test new products and processes
