Agriculture and Food Policy Analyst
Agriculture and food policy analysts are responsible for developing and implementing policies that affect the food system. They work with farmers, ranchers, processors, distributors, retailers, and consumers to ensure that the food system is safe, efficient, and equitable. Agriculture and food policy analysts also work with government agencies to develop and implement regulations that protect the environment and public health.
Education and Training
Agriculture and food policy analysts typically have a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics, agricultural science, or a related field. Some analysts also have a master's degree or doctorate in a related field. Agriculture and food policy analysts must be able to analyze data, write reports, and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
