Unconscious Bias Trainer provides training and education to help individuals and organizations identify and overcome their unconscious biases and promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The goal of Unconscious Bias Training is to raise awareness of unconscious biases, their impact on decision making, and to develop strategies for mitigating bias in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Unconscious Bias Trainers are responsible for developing and delivering educational programs, facilitating workshops and training sessions, and working with organizations to create and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Some of the activities and duties of Unconscious Bias Trainers may include:

  • Conducting research and reviewing literature on unconscious bias and diversity and inclusion
  • Developing and delivering training programs and workshops on unconscious bias and diversity and inclusion
  • Consulting with organizations on how to create an inclusive workplace
  • Collaborating with diversity and inclusion teams to create and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Working with human resources teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote diversity and inclusion
  • Providing feedback and support to individuals and organizations on how to overcome unconscious bias and promote diversity and inclusion

Education and Training

There is no one specific educational path to becoming an Unconscious Bias Trainer, but most Unconscious Bias Trainers hold a bachelor's degree in a field related to diversity and inclusion, such as human resources, sociology, or psychology.

Many Unconscious Bias Trainers also have experience working in the field of diversity and inclusion, either as a consultant or in-house at an organization.
