You will gain hands-on experience developing and publishing online courses using a learning management system of your choice.

This Instructional Design and Technology MicroMasters program will provide the knowledge and skills needed to capitalize on one of the fastest-growing areas of education – online teaching and learning. Instructional Design: Digital Media, New Tools and Technology

(72 hours)
Instructional designers have a vast array of tools and resources at their disposal to create engaging courses. Social media, digital video, and freely available online instructional resources and applications connect and engage people in new and exciting ways. When creating online learning experiences, instructional designers integrate and infuse these digital tools and digital content in ways that engage and connect learners to course content.

Instructional Design Course Evaluation & Capstone Project

(72 hours)
This final capstone course in the Instructional Design and Technology MicroMasters program focuses on course design evaluation and your capstone project. Evaluation models help instructional designers continuously improve course design to enhance student learning. We'll explore evaluation models, learning management system data analytics, and Kirkpatrick's Levels of evaluation. Finally, you'll design, build, and publish your capstone project, an online learning module.
