In my course materials, you will find that questions often come with explanations of abbreviations to aid your understanding. However, please be aware that in the real exam, you may encounter only the abbreviations themselves without any explanations. This approach is designed to help you learn and remember the abbreviations more effectively.

Additionally, it's important to read the explanations for incorrect answers. Doing so can increase your knowledge and better prepare you for the exam. By understanding why an answer is incorrect, you can avoid similar mistakes in the future and gain a deeper comprehension of the material. Make sure to study and practice the abbreviations regularly and take the time to review explanations for all answer choices to ensure you are well-prepared.

Differences between CCNA v1.0 and CCNA v1.1 Blueprints:

  1. Power over Ethernet (PoE)

    • PoE is explicitly listed under network components in v1.1.

  2. Layering in Network Components Description

    • In v1.1, switches are referred to as "Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches". In v1.0, they are mentioned as "L2 and L3 switches".

  3. Terminology Adjustments

    • Network topology descriptions are slightly modified: "Two-tier" and "Three-tier" replace "2 tier" and "3 tier".

    • Routing decisions: "Longest prefix match" is used in v1.1, replacing "Longest match" in v1.0.

  4. Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) Descriptions

    • The v1.1 blueprint expands on the description of STP, including terms like "Root guard, loop guard, BPDU filter, and BPDU guard".

  5. AI and Machine Learning

    • v1.1 includes AI (generative and predictive) and machine learning within network operations, not mentioned in v1.0.

  6. Configuration Management

    • Terraform is included in v1.1 under configuration management mechanisms alongside Ansible.

  7. Virtualization Fundamentals

    • v1.1 explicitly lists server virtualization, containers, and VRFs under virtualization fundamentals, which are not specified in v1.0.

The Exam Questions will comprehensively cover the following exam sections based on the standardised Cisco blueprint:

Section 1 – Network Fundamentals

Section 2 – Network Access

Section 3 – IP Connectivity

Section 4 – IP Services

Section 5 – Security Fundamentals

Section 6 – Automation and Programmability

Prepare for success in the New Cisco CCNA exam by thoroughly understanding both the correct and incorrect answers to the exam questions. Good luck.
