What people are saying

java and python

Instructions for labs were the bare minimum and only after the video reviewing the lab (which seemed like padding for time to me), did you understand the lab,Why not have java AND python videos -- switching back and forth was annoying.

The lab examples require strong understanding of Java and Python is understand the code being executed.

The mix of Java and Python is a bit weird.

The combination of Java and python is sometimes a bit confusing.

I am not good with Java and Python and this training was more around them and not to Data flow.

Good to have both Java and Python implementations very help to learning I think this course was very good. The challenge is it combines network architecture, SQL & data modeling, and also Java/Python.

Good explanation on and lots of (SQL, Java and Python) code examples for BigQuery and Dataflow.

apache beam

Then, the Dataflow Straming Example has only Java codes for Apache Beam, no python version.

Maybe a bit more explanation of apache beam syntax would help... it's a bit hard to understand for novice users It was good to be provided with very useful information.

Although had issues with few labs for Apache Beam what I liked the most is the examples and detailed coverage of concepts in the course.

BigqueryApache BeamDataflowPublish–Subscribe Pattern Excellent hands-on Really disappointed with this course for the following reasons:1.- Out of date as the screens shows in the videos no longer match reality2.- Broken labs for Python.

For instance, it must have contained some tasks where user have to write the apache beam pipeline.

Otherwise nice resource to learn Apache Beam and BigQuery.

good Un gran curso, con un componente teórico excelente y la practica necesaria para entender el análisis de datos y los procesos de map reduce con Apache Beam the most usefull in my opinion (for now, I look foreward to see the next) Falta mas practica porque el tema es extenso y muy interesante para tan poca practica Very good Lesson!

All lab explanations are for java labs, maybe will be better to add the python lab explanations Incredible technology Dataflow and Apache Beam transforms Big Data streaming in a productive possibility Very informative and practical lab assignments Very interesting and useful!

Good try to add other to help him, but I've missed really explanations around the Apache Beam API, and it's code in more details.I had to drill down on a lot of extra materials outside the ones describer here to get a dataflow pipeline code built.Another thing.

very useful

Subtitles are ouf of sync and there are duplicated videos It's very useful not only for BigData but for Oracle SQL Performance Tuning also... A very good introductory course for using bigquery and Dataflow Good starting point to learn about bigquery and dataflow, I would like the course include a final project to apply all we learned.

Videos need editing and some of the Dataflow labs don't work correctly (error out) It is very useful Very good and detailed explanation with hands-on lab work.

Very useful 1star less for excluding complex scenarios in parallel processing.

Rest all seems to be good enjoyed the learning Great One Very useful.

Good course to start with BQ & DataFlow Very useful hands-on lab Very good course for deep understanding of Google Bigquery.

Very useful overview of BQ & DF with good templates in both Java & Python.

Very useful course, a grasp of data science using the Google tools is really important to map concept and tech stuff.

The reviews are infrequent and not very useful for highlighting the most important information.

not work

This code did not work, no help in discussion Forums.

very helpful if you want to know about BigQuery and Dataflow Some of the labs did not work seamlessly.

some of the python labs with dataflow would not work - I tried project name- but it kept complaining that it could not be found, even though I copied it from the project name of GCP home.

Overall this is a very good course, only issue experienced is 1 lab is running so long and failed at Two of the labs did not work.

(easy to understand) Module 1/ Lab 2; directions do not work.

Some elements did not work correctly.

google cloud

It also reveals the power of Google Cloud Platform in handling both Streaming and Batch data using the same Dataflow pipeline.

While the course content was very informative, there was not enough about the Google Cloud Data Engineering certification exam - specifically, what material would or would not be on it.

very good for google cloud learners Lak rocks!

I have gained new insight after doing third course with Google Cloud Platform.

Great intro to Dataflow It is excellently placed course to understand how to use bigquery and dataflow in different use cases on Google Cloud Platform.

bit more

A bit more serious than the last two.

Very interesting course, it properly highlights the most important features of Big Query and Data Flow and the labs are simple but still very illustrative Video needs a bit more editing, there restarts or calendar popping up etc.

Dataflow course could be a bit more detailed The future of Data Engineering is now!
