These days, security is a critical element of today's networking infrastructure. Network administrators are hard-pressed to defend their network against attacks and breaches. Many organizations are turning to SD-WAN solutions to meet these crucial challenges. In this course, SDN and SD-WAN Fundamentals: The Evolution of Quality and Security in SD-WAN, you'll learn how SD-WAN creates a secure and reliable full-scale wide area network solution by securing the data plane fabric, utilizing a variety of security features, and implementing application quality of service. First, you’ll explore how SD-WAN data traffic is segmented as well as how applications are recognized within the secure data plane. Next, you’ll discover how SD-WAN uses a variety of security components, while utilizing the basic SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) approach to combining security and networking. Finally, you’ll learn how SD-WAN implements Edge QoS as well as how to how to deploy an SD-WAN QoS policy. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have fundamental knowledge of how SD-WAN provides enterprise security as well as understand how SD-WAN improves application performance with Edge quality of service policies.
