Es bien conocido que la matemática está presente en nuestro día a día. Pensemos una situación: al comprar un celular se nos presentan dos opciones: para la tienda A, los clientes tienen un ticket con un 5% de descuento, pero además la tienda ofrece un 10% de descuento sobre el total abonado. La tienda B ofrece un 15% de descuento ¿Ambas tiendas ofrecen el mismo porcentaje de descuento? Estos escenarios y otros que van desde transacciones cotidianas hasta complejas decisiones de inversión, elección de un préstamo con mejor financiamiento, cálculo del interés, entre otras, requieren una comprensión profunda de los cálculos matemáticos. Saber operar correctamente nos permite gestionar desde un presupuesto hasta optimizar el desarrollo de tareas o la interpretación de datos. Este curso se propone dotarte de las habilidades necesarias para abordar estos desafíos con confianza y precisión. Te proponemos recorrer este curso de una manera distinta; te invitamos a hacerlo como si estuvieras abriendo puertas en una sala de escape. En distintos momentos, te dejaremos un desafío para resolver y te indicaremos qué parte de la solución deberás guardar hasta el final para poder hallar tu salida. Exploraremos los fundamentos esenciales en cuatro módulos. En el primero, analizaremos por qué algunos desafíos matemáticos tienen resultados distintos, abordaremos la operatoria y perfeccionaremos el uso correcto de los paréntesis y el volcado de datos en la calculadora. En el segundo módulo, nos sumergiremos en ecuaciones e inecuaciones, “traduciremos” situaciones cotidianas al lenguaje simbólico, resolveremos ecuaciones y sistemas de ecuaciones y plantearemos desafíos virales. El tercer módulo se sumerge en el mundo de los polinomios, explorando su operatoria y la importancia de la factorización, mientras que nos enfrentamos a nuevos desafíos matemáticos. Finalmente, en el cuarto módulo, trabajaremos expresiones algebraicas, explorando su operatoria y simplificación.

Operaciones básicas y propiedades
En esta semana trabajaremos con el orden de las operaciones en un cálculo combinado, analizaremos el uso de los paréntesis y de estrategias efectivas para el uso de la calculadora, incluyendo el ingreso de la expresión a calcular y la lectura de los resultados expresados en forma científica. Además, abordaremos las potencias y sus propiedades.

Ecuaciones e inecuaciones
En esta semana abordaremos los temas de ecuaciones e inecuaciones; trabajaremos con lenguaje simbólico, utilizaremos las reglas implícitas en el llamado “pasaje de términos” que nos permitirán resolver ecuaciones e inecuaciones. Resolveremos sistemas de ecuaciones y aplicaremos todo lo aprendido a la resolución de situaciones problemáticas de nuestra vida cotidiana.
Polinomios
Polinomios será el tema de esta semana, vamos a realizar operaciones básicas, veremos algunos errores frecuentes, también analizaremos la importancia de la factorización, trabajaremos con la regla de Ruffini.
Expresiones algebraicas racionales
En la última semana del curso, los temas que abordaremos son proporcionalidad, directa e inversa; construiremos tablas, gráficos y fórmulas, y nos encontraremos con las expresiones algebraicas fraccionarias. Revisaremos cómo operar con ellas para llevarlas a su mínima expresión, simplificando.
