The library is your friend! Knowing how to use the library is an important skill that many students never learn - but you aren't most students!
Researching an assignment for university or college involves more than just googling it. Research is an important skill to have.
You will be doing a lot of written assignments, so you need to train like an athlete to get better at it.
Presentation software mentioned: Keynote, Powerpoint, Prezi (prezi dot com)
The 3 note-taking styles I refer to are:
Cornell Notes
Outlining
- For PC, Microsoft One-note is probably the best outlining software
- For Mac, OmniOutliner stands at the top.
- Don't forget, pretty much every word processor has this capability
- Plenty of mobile apps do this great too
MindMapping
Mindmapping is a little more specialized in that you need an app specifically made to do it. Because I don't mind map a lot, I've stuck with the free version of MindJet. But if you really like this, I would check out this Lifehacker article highlighting some other mandmaps too.
