TOTAL

Hey, Mike Meyers here. The Team at Total Seminars and I are excited to bring you this video series to help you pass the CompTIA A+ Certification Core 1 (220-1001) exam.

Between my bestselling A+, Network+, and Security+ books and my video courses, I've taught over 2 million people how to take and pass these CompTIA IT industry certification exams. I've got an easy-going, approachable, and funny teaching style that has helped newbies and experienced techs alike learn valuable IT skills. I've taught in-person seminars for the DEA and the FBI, and now I'm going to teach you,

Total Seminars is the #1 name in CompTIA Certification training for over 25 years. We've taught more students than there are CompTIA certified techs (not everyone takes the exams). We can prepare you to take and pass the exam and make you a better IT tech in the process.

This is the first of a two-course series and is designed to prepare you to take and pass the CompTIA A+ 2019 Core 1 (220-1001) exam. It's an internationally-recognized, fundamental IT training certification. Not interested in certification? No problem. Even if you just want to learn about the basics of IT and computers, I've got you covered.

  • Course 1: TOTAL: CompTIA A+ Certification (220-1001). (this course)

  • Course 2: TOTAL: CompTIA A+ Certification (220-1002).

"I used these courses to pass the A+, Security+, and Network+ in a span of 2.5 months. I had no IT experience 4 months ago. Now I am a network engineer at a managed service provider with a great salary and solid upward mobility." - Ryan D.

“Mike is an incredible instructor and very engaging. Actually teaches you about technologies and how they work rather than just what you need to know to pass an exam. Can't recommend highly enough.” - Dylan T.

'First impressions - Blown away by the quality of the material. Especially the live demonstrations with real components really give one a far superior learning experience compared to ppt slides. I hope this style of teaching becomes the norm.' -Krishnamohan C.

“Awesome. As an IT student, I already knew about PCs & related hardware and so on...this is an awesome course & Mike described everything nicely. If you are new to IT industry (less than 5 years) this is a must course for you. ” – Muhammad T.

“[Mike] Meyers is amazing when it comes to explaining. His fun little bits, such as when he explains common problems and how to troubleshoot them, keep you engaged and help it stick so much better. I went from barely understanding little bits here and there to passing the 1001 on my first try with the help of this course. …If you have tried reading the books and listening to lectures from people who sound like the teacher from Ferris Bueller then I would highly recommend this course paired with his practice tests.” – Robert F.

“This course was above my expectations. 1/2 way through and it is NOT boring, drilling information AT ALL. A positive, knowledgeable instructor who clearly speaks. Not only is the instructor positive, but fun and engaging. Very easily relays information in an easy to understand and easy to remember format. Perfect category breakdowns and great resources available too. Looking forward to passing my CompTIA A+ with ease. ” – Kerri O.

I learned a lot from this course and I am looking forward to Part #2 This course is perfect as I am studying for the CompTIA A+ Certification.

He's reaffirmed my desire to switch careers and now I'm really looking forward to putting what he taught me to good use.

I am looking forward to using this information, both in attempting to pass the exam, and in practical application on the job.

Looking forward to learning more in the 1002 course!

I will also be looking forward to other publications from Total Seminar.

Looking forward to the Comptia N+ lessons.

Looking forward to 1002.

Looking forward to putting the learnings into practice.

As a person with very minimal back-round in Tech, I'm picking up the concepts with ease and looking forward to learn a whole lot more!

Looking forward to passing my CompTIA A+ with ease!!!

Looking forward to taking my A+ when the course is completed!

I'm looking forward to refreshing on these topics.

So far I've found myself very familiar with all the material he's covered (which is a good thing obviously, since the exam is so close) but I'm looking forward to seeing how well he explains materials I'm not as comfortable with.

its informative but not in depth, i understand theres only so much he can do in this time frame but anyways he is a good instructor but this course by itself is not enough because it is mostly aimed at beginners Looking forward to getting into it!

knows his stuff

He obviously knows his stuff, and has a lot of experience communicating this information to others.

Uncle Mike knows his stuff.

I highly recommend the Mike Myers series, hes a cool guy, knows his stuff, and explains it in a way that makes it very simple and easy to understand and retain.

Lecturer knows his stuff and simplifying them to something more understandable I learned so much taking this course.

This aside, there's no doubting Mike knows his stuff, and he explains it all in terms that are easy to understand.

practice tests

I would 100% recommend doing some practice tests and also use some more in depth research on each topic.

This may be because a deep understanding isnt needed for the 1001, but I won't know for sure until I take some practice tests.

I would guess they have actually taken the Cores, As a matter of fact with just Mikes videos and that book and the complete practice tests book from Sybex is all you need to pass, if you study your tail off.

Cleared core 1 exam today .Very good content but practice tests are needed.

I also bought the practice tests, so after I finish them I will do the exam and inform you what I have done based on this course and the practice tests.

(I have also paired this course with his practice tests) Very engaging and interactive.

Took me 3 weeks of studying and practice tests per exam (6 weeks total), passed both A+ tests and got my first job in IT a week later.

I am going to do practice tests next and then take the exam If you are following the book and watching these videos you will not have access to chapters 14,15, and 16.

Now I'm on to the practice tests.

I recommend taking notes on everything, and taking some practice tests.

I also ended up picking up their practice tests and their simulators.

If I had any suggestions, I'd say include the sims and practice tests together at a slightly higher price, and then include some of those sims on the test itself to make it even closer to a true Comptia Exam experience.

It was a great course Awesome I like it Shame we can not download the course to our own laptop and also there are no practice tests include with this module - well there is but you have to pay separately thats wrong.

However don't waste your money on their practice tests.

study guide

These are great study guides and I look forward to using them again when ComTia updates the standard.

This is a great way to learn, I am using these videos to create my own study guide to help with learning all the new terminology.

I found the best supplemental books are the Sybex fourth addition A+ Complete Study Guide.

welled expanded by the prof mike I am happy to say I have reached the goal of gaining my A+ Core One pass with the help of this study guide.

Its Great bought it with the the official Comtia study guide and find this alot easier to digest.

Approaching my last two semesters in IT...While maintaining high honors academically ,time prevents students from going intrinsically to cover all the details as needed.I am honored to take this course and will use it as a study guide.Thank-You Mr Myers.By the way, I a veteran that moved here to attend NMSU from Canton Texas.God bless... Love this course Mike explains everything in great detail and makes it understandable.

You have to supplement the course with a book of some sort or study guide because the differences I am seeing in the book (both Sybex and Meyers) is fairly large.

Taking this quick course has helped SOOO MUCH to get back into the tech world and I feel confident enough to also use the study guides provided by CompTIA and take my tests to be able to get the career I've been wanting since I was little.

years ago

Mike you’re the best Having taken a course two years ago in IT at a school I learned a lot of the material, but I think it's a good course overall and Mike teaches it pretty well, using practical examples.

Refresher course for me, last time I saw the A+ was geez...17 years ago!

I RAM chapter was very useful, sadly I didn't have the info years ago when my computer played up due to my RAM I feel that mike is very good at explains things and making it just entertaining enough not to be boring.

I wish I had done this years ago!

He does an excellent job breaking complicated or technical subjects into laymen's terms at an easily digestible pace cool I took this stuff 15 years ago lots of changes The course is really great and informative.

It's a perfect match for me, I should have started this years ago but now I've found it I want more and more I am very happy with Mike he is great.

It’s concise and informative I bought Mike's A+ certification book a few years ago, but only got about halfway through before my ADD got in the way lol.
