Welcome to the start of your "How to Start a YouTube Channel" journey! Jewel and I are so excited to have you here. In this video, I share a few things you need to know about how the course is laid out, along with how you can make the most out of the material here.

In this video, Jewel shows you a few YouTubers we've personally worked with to help start or improve their channel growth. All of these YouTubers had no prior experience or knowledge on how to start a channel. We're so excited to see the success of our clients and we hope this video inspires you to see that any type of channel can grow, as long as you are committed to the process.

Advice from Jewel in 2016 (which still holds true!) on what to expect when starting a YouTube channel. It's good to know what you're getting into so that you can confidently decide whether being on YouTube is right for you. Keep in mind that building a YouTube channel is like building an asset - it may cost resources up front to make it grow, but it's something that's going to keep paying you over and over again in the future (monetarily, emotionally, in opportunities, etc.)

It's important to identify why you want to start a YouTube channel so that you can always anchor into WHY you started this journey.

You may already know what should your YouTube channel be about, but here are a few things to keep in mind when deciding on the topic of your channel. Should it be broad topic-ed? More narrowed down? This video will help answer those questions.

Here are 4 main elements plus additional tips to keep in mind when coming up with your YouTube channel name. In this video, we'll brainstorm different channel names that fit into the these guidelines.

In this video, I'll show you exactly how to create your YouTube channel from scratch using the name you came up with in the previous lecture. You can skip to the 5 minute mark if you already have a Google Account!

Your YouTube channel artwork consists of your main YouTube banner and your profile or avatar image. In this video, I share a few tips for how to design your YouTube banner, what information to include on it and also what to consider if you're creating the banner yourself vs outsourcing it to a designer.

In this video, I'll show you how to upload your YouTube banner to your channel and also how to preview it on different devices to confirm that everything looks good and no important info is cut off.

Here's how to upload a YouTube profile picture (which should be a photo of you, if you are going to be in your videos). If you're not going to be in your videos, you can upload a logo instead.

I've had some students express that their YouTube avatar image (aka profile picture) doesn't show as updated after they've uploaded it. So I created this lecture to show you how to fix this issue.

When someone lands on your YouTube channel and clicks on the ABOUT tab, this is where they expect to see a description on your YouTube channel. In this video, I'll show you how to add this information and tips for how to write an effective YouTube channel description.

In this video, Jewel shares a simple YouTube filming setup that we use, which is comprised of a webcam, a usb microphone, and a ring light - all of which you can get for under $200.

This is a higher budget YouTube filming set up using the Canon M50 DSLR camera that we wanted to share with you, especially if you're someone who can only film in the evenings.

In this video, I'll share with you a tip on how to increase views on a YouTube video. This is if you want to boost views on a certain video to give it momentum and / or if you want more people to see a specific video.

Consistently producing and uploading videos is one of the main keys to growing a successful YouTube channel. However, this is also one of the main things that we see our private mentoring clients struggle with. In this video, we share the system we use to film and release 5-6 videos a week on our YouTube channel without pulling our hair out.
