This section will cover all of the basic concepts of Six Sigma including: meanings, history, benefits, The problem solving formula, VOC, VOB, VOE.

Students are taught by Lean Strategies International's Master Coach Cameron Hansen the history of Six Sigma, They are also given a handout which provides students with the Key Take away from this section.

This section will test students understand of the history of Six Sigma.

 In this section students will learn about the general benefits associated with six sigma.

 In this section Lean Strategies International LLC will discuss the core statistical concept used in six sigma.  

 This Quiz will test students understanding and retention of information shared in the problem solving formula lecture.

 In this lecture Lean Strategies International LLC will define what the VOC, VOB and VOE are and why they are so important.  Students will also have the opportunity to take a VOC survey.

This lecture will provide a general overview of some of the roles and a few responsibilities to expect. Each belt level will also include a specific on that belt level.

This lecture explains the belt structure of Lean and Six Sigma to students.  It will also introduce a basic understanding of some of the skills each belt should obtain.  

This quiz will test participants retention of the information shared in relation to a Lean Six Sigma Belt system.

In this section students will be introduced to some of the roles and general responsibilities they may have as a yellow belt in their organization.

This section will test students retention of the materials shared pertaining to the general roles of a yellow belt.

  In the overview of roles and responsibilities Lean Strategies International LLC talks about how many of each belt should be in your organization, three other major roles in your strategy and how each and every organizations structure will be unique depending on a few elements.  

In this section Lean Strategies International LLC will discuss the fundamental elements of processes, CTW, COPQ, Pareto and metrics that lean and six sigma use.

 Students will learn in this section what a process is, why applying lean and six sigma techniques is beneficial and we will discuss dependent and independent variables.

This quiz will test students retention and understanding of information discussed on processes.

 In this lecture Lean Strategies International LLC will discuss what critical to quality characteristics are.  We will also share examples of CTQ and a tool you can use to translate the voice of the customer into CTQ measures.

This quiz will test students retention of materials shared in the lecture and handouts from the lecture entitled Critical to Quality Characteristics.  

  In this lecture we will learn about the 4 areas associated with the cost of poor quality.  We will discuss benefits of tracking COPQ and share some examples to help your understanding of COPQ.

In this section students will learn about the Pareto concept and a tool that can be used in selecting projects known as the Pareto Priority Index.

08/30/2018 - Slides Updated For Easier Download. In this lecture Lean Strategies International LLC will discuss the Pareto Concept and principles.  Students will learn about a few key examples they can use the pareto principle on and we will build a Pareto Graph in excel as we analyze our home expenses.

 Students will learn how to use a pareto priority index in this lecture.  They will also be challenged to use the PPI tool.

In this section students will learn about Takt, Cycle and Lead Time. We will also discuss fundamental metrics used in six sigma.

 Establishing metrics and times is a critical point in a strategic journey that often get's overlooked.  In this section we will discuss three elements of time that are critical to the success of strategy.  

 Students will learn in this lecture what defects per unit is and how to calculate the metric.  We will also discuss the difference between a defect and a defective unit.  

 Students will learn about an important preliminary measurement used in calculating DPMO.  We will walk through one example together and students will receive an automated template.  

This lecture will share with students what DPMO means and how to calculate it.  Lean Strategies International LLC will also walk through an example using the excel sheet in the attachments to help make calculations much easier.  

 In this lecture students will learn about first time yield and concepts of the hidden factor.  We will walk through a pizza factory and see how the yield is much more accurate using first time yield and we will test our bike tires in preparation for the tour de france.  DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE TEMPLATE!

 When looking at processes that are interlinked we need to be able to see the cumulative effects that the hidden factory has on a process.  Rolled throughput yield is the measurement that will quantify these effects.  Learn what RTY is and how to calculate this metric in this lecture. This section will talk about 3 key methods for managing quality in an organization.

This Lecture will introduce the Customer focus of SIx Sigma.  The Lecture will also introduce two other Quality Management systems commonly used along with Six Sigma.

This section will test students knowledge and retention of curriculum shared in the Six Sigma Opportunities Lecture.

In this lecture students will be given an overview of ISO 9000 as a QMS system.  The Lecture is meant for students only to understand ISO and its similarities to Six Sigma.

This quiz will test the retention of information shared with students in the ISO lecture.

Lean Strategies International LLC gives an introduction to another method of Managing Quality known as TQM or Total Quality Management. 

This section will test students retention of the overview of TQM.

This section will Introduce Students to Various elements and foundational Concepts of Lean

  Kaizen refers to continuous incremental improvement.  This section describes kaizen to students and helps them understand how kaizen is more of a culture than an event.

This lecture will address how Lean is a customer focused strategy.

This section will test the retention of information shared in the Customer Focus lecture.

Students will be taught about the three classifications of work.  They will learn about VA, NVA and BVA.

This quiz will test students retention of the information shared in the Value Added and Non Value Added section.

In this lecture we will look into standardization and define exactly what the term means.  We will also discuss standard operating procedures and share two templates that Lean Strategies International LLC uses ourself.



In this section students will be tested on their retention of the information taught in the Standardization lecture.

This section will define what exactly a problem is and the three major categories that problems can be classified in.  Finally students will learn the benefits of using problem solving methodologies and they will be introduced to two very effective methods of solving problems.

The gemba is where the actual work is done.  In this lecture students will learn the benefits of going to the gemba and will learn about Lean Strategies International's Gemba methodology which can make going to the Gemba much more effective.

Students will have a more detailed look at the 8 types of muda and will learn about general methods of mitigated each of the 8 types of muda

In this section we will test students retention of the 8 major forms of waste and origins lecture.

Students will learn key concepts of what it's like to begin and select Lean Six Sigma Projects. They will be given 2 tools the PPI index and solution Matrix to use.
Key Principles in Six Sigma (Define)

Students will learn what is like to begin a lean six sigma strategy.  They will also be introduced to very helpful tools to use when selecting projects; the pareto priority index and the solution matrix.

In this section Students will learn about DMAIC, DMADV, PDCA and TREAT 1,2,3 Methodologies.

  In this lecture on the DMAIC method students will learn about each stage of the DMAIC process.  additionally they will be provided with suggestions of tools they can use during each of the 5 stages of the DMAIC problem solving method.

Students will be introduced to DMADV and DFSS which are used to develop new processes.  

  This section will introduce students to the PDCA cycle.  Students will also gain a general understand of each stage of the cycle.
