Activities

Coming soon We're preparing activities for Введение в паразитологию. These are activities you can do either before, during, or after a course.

Career center

Learners who complete Введение в паразитологию will develop knowledge and skills that may be useful to these careers:
Veterinary Parasitologist
As a Veterinary Parasitologist your work would primarily take place in academia where you analyze the effects of parasites on animals. By taking this course, you can build a foundation in the study of the ways that organisms can live off of another organism in a mutually exclusive fashion. Such knowledge would greatly aid you as you seek to answer fundamental questions about the biological world.
Medical Parasitologist
As a Medical Parasitologist, you would be working to find better ways to cure patients of disease. With this course, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the ways that parasites operate within other living organisms. This could help you to find ways to treat diseases that are caused by organisms that operate in this way.
Environmental Health Specialist
As an Environmental Health Specialist, your work involves finding pollutants within the environment. You will use the knowledge you gain from this course to spot and identify potential pollutants and threats to wildlife or humans.
Public Health Microbiologist
As a Public Health Microbiologist, you would be inspecting food and water supplies to ensure that they are safe for the public. By taking this course, you will get an introduction to the study of how organisms can live parasitically inside of a host, helping you to identify potential contamination risks.
Microbiologist
As a Microbiologist, your work would primarily focus on studying the effects of microorganisms on the environment and human health. This course could help you better understand the risks of specific organisms, and could help you prevent the spread of disease.
Wildlife Biologist
As a Wildlife Biologist, you will study the ecology of wildlife, and how they interact with the environment around them. The skills you learn in this course will help you recognize and identify potential causes if a wildlife population is in decline.
Infection Control Nurse
As an Infection Control Nurse, your work involves preventing the spread of infection in a hospital or other healthcare facility. This course will help you to better understand the ways that organisms can be transmitted between hosts, helping you to devise ways to prevent outbreaks.
Food Safety Inspector
As a Food Safety Inspector, your work involves inspecting food and beverage products to ensure that they are safe for public consumption. By taking this course, you will learn more about the ways that parasites can contaminate food, helping you to identify potential risks.
Quality Assurance Manager
As a Quality Assurance Manager, your work involves ensuring that products are safe and meet quality standards. This course will help you to better understand the risks of contamination, and could help you to develop more effective quality control measures.
Epidemiologist
As an Epidemiologist, your work involves investigating the causes of disease outbreaks. By taking this course, you will gain a better understanding of how parasites can cause disease in humans, helping you to identify and prevent future outbreaks.
Medical Technologist
As a Medical Technologist, your work would primarily focus on conducting laboratory tests to diagnose and treat diseases. While this course will not teach you the full skill set needed for the role, the information you learn will help you with the more advanced study required to get into this field.
Biomedical Scientist
As a Biomedical Scientist, your work would primarily take place in research and development of new medical treatments. This course will help you build a foundation in the study of how various organisms interact with each other. You will learn about the ways that some organisms live off of others, which can help you understand how to treat diseases caused by such interactions.
Research Scientist
As a Research Scientist, your work would be focused on answering fundamental questions about the biological world. While this course will not teach you all of the skills needed for this field, the work you do in the course may help you identify a specific area that interests you enough to pursue a higher degree in.
Science Writer
As a Science Writer, your job would be to translate complex scientific concepts into language that laypeople can understand. While this course will not teach you how to effectively write for a general audience, the information in it will help you to build a better understanding of the field of Parasitology.
Science Teacher
As a Science Teacher, your job would be to teach students about a variety of scientific subjects. While this course will not give you all of the skills that you will need, it will help you build a foundation in parasitology.
