動画制作において、編集の画面の見方や画面構成の基礎知識を学ぶことが不可欠です。同時に、重要なキャッシュの保存やレンダラー設定にも焦点を当てます

新規プロジェクトファイルの作り方を学びます。編集データすべてが入っているのがプロジェクトファイルになります。作業を再開したいときに編集途中のプロジェクトファイルを開きましょう。

編集画面は自由に位置やサイズを変更することができます。
変更の方法とワークスペースの概要について学びます。

編集画面のことをワークスペースと呼びます。
ワークスペースはいくつかのブロックに分かれていて、各ブロックをパネルと呼びます。
ソースモニターパネル、プログラムモニターパネル、プロジェクトパネル、タイムラインパネル、ツールパネル。
これらはよく使うパネルになる為、このレクチャーで操作方法を解説します。

動画編集を行うと、自動的にメディアキャッシュファイルが生成されます。このキャッシュは、タイムラインのスムーズな動作をサポートするために作成されるデータであり、非常に重要な役割を果たしています。ただし、キャッシュが蓄積しすぎると、パソコンの動作が重くなる可能性があります。そのため、キャッシュの保存先を外部に設定することで、パソコンの負荷を軽減することができます。

自動保存は、編集内容を自動で保存できる設定です。この機能は、ソフトが予期せず終了してしまった場合など、急な状況に備えて非常に便利です。
動画制作をはじめる前に大事なキャッシュの保存先と自動保存を学びます。

レンダラーには複数の種類があり、その中でGPU高速処理にはCUDA、Open CL、Metalなどがあります。Premiere Proの動作を軽くするためには、可能な場合はGPU高速処理を選択することが重要です。
ただし、このオプションはPremiere Proがサポートするグラフィックボードが搭載されている場合にのみ利用できます。

GPUが搭載されていない場合は、ソフトウェア処理を使用することになります。
しかし、GPU高速処理に過度な期待をかけるべきではありません。
なぜなら、Premiere Proやグラフィックボードのバージョンの相性が悪かったり、不具合がある場合にはGPU高速処理が遅くなる可能性があるからです。
動作が何かおかしいなと感じたらソフトウェア処理で作業してみてください。
