Storymapping is a method of mapping your users story from start to finish with your product, overlaying the steps they take and then the functionality you need to support that as well as the extended functionality to enhance their experience. These sessions are usually managed with large numbers of stakeholders (8-20 or even more!)

Learn in this course how to utilise a story-mapping template. Typically used by Product Owners, but useful to Business Analysts who are likely to heavily support.

You have business problem of some kind and need to figure out what to do next. Apply the Lean Canvas to almost any situation to drive:

  • Understanding of the problem statement

  • Objectives

  • Users and Customers

  • Potential Solutions

  • Next steps - the most important thing you need to do to move forwards

You're probably familiar with brainstorming, it is the most common way workshops are facilitated and ideas are captured. Learn how to supercharge these types of workshops using MIROs brainstorming templates

Icebreakers are specific templates used to "break the ice" before meetings. These are usually fun team exercises, often games, the team can play for just a few minutes to warm everyone up, making them more comfortable, positive and upbeat. These are incredibly valuable when getting the most out of Agile team and should not be overlooked. MIRO provides a fantastic assortment of different and fun icebreakers and in this lecture we dive into one such example

A fundamental event in scrum, the retrospective is a lessons learned exercise held at the end of each sprint. An opportunity for the team to reflect on the sprint, covering what went well, what went badly and how the team could improve. This lecture covers a favourite MIRO template for this and how to use it effectively.

Sprint Refinements are the event in scrum where the team discuss upcoming user stories, ask questions and estimate, all to ensure the team achieve a shared understanding of what needs to be done to deliver value against that requirement. Learn in this lecture how you can use MIRO to support your refinement sessions

Estimation is fundamental in Agile, teams need to understand how long work is likely to take to ensure they don't take too much into the sprint and have the right resources available to complete the work. MIRO provides some great templates to do this collaboratively, in this lecture we will cover an example of these.

One of the simplest, but most effective templates in MIRO for Product Owners is the Idea Funnel. Learn this simple and visual way to move a large number of ideas through a prioritisation process to ensure only those delivering the highest value get worked on next

Process flows and flowcharting are common when performing discovery to find the direction of a project and driving out new requirements. In this lecture we talk through some of the process flow templates and associated tools, how they are used and the value you can get out of them

Often problems are raised by the wider business that need solving, but do not clearly describe the root of the problem or the "root cause" of the problem. The Root Cause Analysis template (sometimes called Fishbone or Ishikawa) is used to document the different reasons that contribute to the problem split into logical branches. In this Lecture we work through a great MIRO template on this and how to us it.

Personas are commonly used in the earlier stages of product design, including when storymapping. Personas are  summarised "types" of customer, where you look to understand what that group of customers for your product like and don't like to inform what you should be building into you product. MIRO has a lot of templates that support the definition and use of persons and this lecture spend some time going through one such example.

As a Product Owner or Business Analyst, you will need to articulate to the development team the requirements. You will often support those requirements with a "wireframe", which is essentially a rough sketch of what the functionality could look like. MIRO makes wireframing easy and very quick to do

Product Owners and Managers need to define Product Roadmaps. They are a clear view across a timeline of Months, quarters or years, of what features and functionality will be developed and released for the product. This work underpins the hierarchy of requirements that get written and will be updated, changed and revisited constantly throughout the life of the product. Learn how to create and deploy a Product Roadmap using MIRO

Templates in MIRO are fundamental in saving you time and effort. But there are so many to choose from out there created by the wider community. Learn how to hunt for what you need, as well as how you can contribute yourself!

Although in most cases it's not recommended to export your MIRO board, there are some situations where you need to, such as saving a backup or sending some content you've created to someone who doesn't have MIRO access. Learn the large array of export options available to you, understand what they do and how to use them

MIRO works great in your browser, and even better on the App on PC and MAC. But have you tried it on iPad or on a phone? you might be surprised just how good it is. This is a short lecture showing you how MIRO performs on an iPad to encourage you to think about how using the mobile app for MIRO can help you in your day to day work.

MIRO has a tonne of functionality within it. But it goes to another level when you consider Apps. These (usually) free bolt ons to MIRO are easy to use and increase its functionality in 100's of different ways, from integrating with other platforms to grabbing google images from within MIRO to creating charts. This lecture teaches you how to access apps and gives you some examples of Apps and how they can further enhance your MIRO experience.

Language learning Models like ChatGPT and MiroAssist have become essential to getting things done. They have become highly popular in a short space of time. Learn how MIROs own inbuilt AI can accelerate your productivity and how it compared to the popular ChatGPT. This lecture uses examples of writing requirements and performing a brainstorming exercise to demonstrate the power of these tools.

A critical App in Miro, building integrations to a Product Owners backlog in Jira or Azure Devops is incredibly useful when you're trying to build roadmaps, workshop solutions or problem solve Bugs.

Miro provide many ways to further support your learning, and Live training Webinars are a great way to do that. These sessions cover new features, depending dives and overviews of exciting roadmap items that you can learn and ask questions about
