What people are saying

So far, I think this is quite complete.

So far covered all the basics pretty good so far, a bit boring to listen to but other than that it's good content.

best content for video creators It is great Hi It was more the type So far.

Its been great so far!

I am used to using iMovie so the course so far helped me understand the basic mechanisms and UI in Resolve.

It may be that I have to get another course to teach me about fusion, and I've been spying a few out, but so far the edit workspace has been covered magnificently!

So far and i am only up to lesson 7 it is very simple and very basic.... it is great for someone that has never seen DaVinci Resolve prior to this course... excellent lectures This course is doing a really good job of filling in the blanks of my knowledge regarding DaVinci Resolve.

(Your accent took very little adjustment time) I am liking the course so far.

davinci resolve

in addition there is a part ( 3hrs 27min) in which we teach you a software that has nothing to do with Davinci Resolve.

If it was so useless as you said, you wouldn't 'waste' so many hours to watch every single lesson I didn’t watch 100% of the course, I just watched the parts about Davinci Resolve.

And that's not the problem, the problem is to include sections that have nothing to do with learning Davinci Resolve (Videoscribe) in a Davinci Resolve course, or to include a pseudo summary (curious to know why you did not mention anything about this summary in your answer !!)

because I did not imagine that you are going to include a section that talks about other software that has no relation to the title of the course which is (learn Davinci Resolve) and in addition you have included the duration of this section ( 3h) in the total duration of the course.

yes Videoscribe has a relation with video creation and editing but it has no relation with the title and the purpose of your course which is learning Davinci resolve.

I am not against the fact that you include videos that talk about other software but when you do it, please include the right information in the course description so as not to cause confusion (instead of saying 13 hour lesson of Davinci Resolve, say 7 hours of Davinci Resolve lessons + 2.5 hours of summary which consists of videos which are already included in the 7 hours of the previous section + 3.5 hours of lessons from Videoscribe software) Overall, I can see where you're coming from, so I am replying without any sugar coating.

Finally, let me clarify one thing, when I said that you don’t master Davinci Resolve, in fact I meant that you don’t know how to teach (approach) Davinci resolve.

If you are planning on using Davinci Resolve you need to take this course.

He is knowledgeable about DaVinci Resolve.

I have been using DaVinci Resolve for a long time and I feel refreshed on my knowledge thus far.

It gave me the confidence and understanding how to start editing correctly with DaVinci Resolve.

If you have no idea about video editing and DaVinci Resolve, this should be the BEST option.

Without a doubt Davinci Resolve looks an incredible NLE and I look extremely forward to using and learning all about it.

I want to know all about DaVinci Resolve Finished the course and enjoyed the presentation.

video editing

Learning the basics of video editing and also the tools and effects in davinci.

Definitely took my video editing skills to the next level.

I wish the instructor would have spent the time actually explaining the how’s and whys of video editing in Resolve, not just repeating sections.

I would recommend anybody who is interested in video editing to try out this course.

I feel more qualified and I develop my knowledge with the different lecture Everything seems well I was so scared and intimidated by Video Editing Softwares.

I was an absolute beginner in video editing and first tried to use the tool on my own.

That was a complete disaster as I had never ever worked with any video editing tool before.

But as beginners in video editing, hoping they would have a section which explains the different kinds of color terminologies(shadows, mid tones, exposure, saturation, hue, etc...) and some additional techniques and exercises for color correction and color grading too.

This is a great course for total newbies to video editing software (which I was).

If you've used any kind of video editing tool before, a big chunk of the stuff will be pretty self explanatory.

I don't agree it is a complete video editing course as they leave out for example 'Fusion' and 'Fairlight' which confirms it is a beginners course and further implies it is not a 'complete' course.

and they care about your learning curve and experience Excellent instructor on a topic that I had absolutely no knowledge of (video editing).

Good for the very basics if you've never done video editing before.

phil ebener

BTW, Phil Ebener is not the presenter.

Detailed Review: Last year I purchased Phil Ebener’s course on Adobe Premiere and it was excellent.

Phil Ebener’s Adobe Premiere course was designed for us to work along in each section, and Phil made it clear about what to do.

But I expected more from a “Phil Ebener” class.
